We're a primary care and internal medicine practice serving Lansing, Leavenworth, Basehor, Bonner Springs, and the surrounding area. Currently, we have one physician, but plan on growing the practice to add more healthcare providers over time.
Michael Albrecht, MD
Dr. Albrecht is the founder of BrightMed Clinic. He is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine with over 10 years of clinical practice experience. He attended K-State for undergrad, KU for medical school, and the University of Colorado for Internal Medicine residency.
He is currently completing a fellowship in Clinical Informatics at the University of Kansas Medical Center (July 2023 - June 2025), which is a medical subspecialty that focuses on optimizing healthcare processes through the use of technology. Dr. Albrecht practiced in Hays, KS for nearly 8 years before pursuing fellowship. Additionally, he practiced medicine in the KU Weight Management clinic during his time in fellowship.
Dr.Albrecht grew up on a farm near Herington, KS and has a vision to make primary care more accessible to several underserved areas of rural Kansas. His hobbies include web application development, long- distance running, tennis, and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
